Hi, I’m Misty—the photographer behind Rocky Ridge Photography.

Based in Butte, Montana, I specialize in documenting authentic, heartfelt moments throughout life’s biggest milestones—from “I Do” to growing families. Whether I’m photographing an intimate elopement in Glacier National Park, a wedding in Southwest Montana, welcoming a newborn, or capturing a family as they grow, my passion is preserving genuine moments with timeless, true-to-color imagery that tells your unique story.

Photography has been part of my life for more than 15 years, and for the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting weddings and life’s most meaningful milestones. My goal is to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience where you can be fully present while I capture the authentic moments you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

When your wedding or portrait session arrives, I blend documentary storytelling with gentle guidance to create natural, genuine images. You’ll never be asked to constantly pose or recreate moments. Instead, I’ll help you feel comfortable while documenting your story as it naturally unfolds.

For weddings requiring additional coverage, my best friend and sister, Sheri, joins me as my trusted second photographer. Having two photographers allows us to capture multiple perspectives—from both partners getting ready to emotional family moments, candid reactions, and all the meaningful details you may not see yourself.

My editing style features rich, true-to-life colors with a light, airy feel, creating timeless photographs that remain beautiful for generations. Whether it’s quiet moments before your ceremony, your baby’s tiny fingers and toes, or laughter shared during a family session, I’m here to preserve not only how those moments looked—but how they truly felt.
